February 2016 Newsletter

I’m sorry it took so long to get this one.  I started it at the end of January and (in the middle of getting all my tax papers together for my accountant) forgot I never finished it.  So I’m doing it today and getting this out. 😀

The Convenient Mail Order Bride will be out February 13!

(This is Book 1 in the Chance at Love Series)

The Convenient Mail Order Bride3

I was able to bump it up a week.  Originally, it was supposed to be out on the 21st, but since my editing team got done earlier than expected, it’ll be out sooner.  I did put it up for pre-order on Amazon.  It’s already been on iBooks, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords for a while not, but I just added it to Amazon.

You can click here if you want to pre-order it.

Since this is coming out in the middle of the month, I’ll also make a post when it’s available.  At that time, I’ll give the description. 🙂

*I do plan to put other books up on Amazon for pre-order once they are all finished through the editing process.  It’s easier to upload the final version of the book when I do a pre-order over there.

I’ll have Bonus Materials from the Nebraska Series out early, too!

These are a series of blog posts I did on my author blog back in 2011-2012.   It consisted of character interviews I did while writing Shotgun Groom, Isaac’s Decision, To Have and To Hold, and Her Heart’s Desire.  I also had a contest with all the heroes from the Nebraska Series, and I ran into some issues when Dave Larson didn’t like what I was doing.  These were all just done for humor, and I thought someone might like to have the book on hand instead of going through my old blog posts to find them.

I currently have the release date set at April 3, but I’m going to move it up to sometime in March.  What I might do, if all goes according to plan, is have it up around March 1st so I can announce it while doing my newsletter post.  I’ll give more information in the next post.

This book is currently with my editor.  I will have it out some time in March.

I’m hoping I can get this out earlier than May 8, which is my current release date.  If all goes well, I can finish the first draft by the end of this month.  Then I can go through the initial edits and send it to my awesome editing team.  I’d love to have this one out in early April.  *fingers crossed*

Release date is currently set at May 8, but I’m hoping to have it out in April.

I’m making good progress in The Mistaken Mail Order Bride

This one is at the 12,000-word mark, which is nearing the end of chapter 4.  So I still have a ways to go.  In this one, I’m going to feature a plain looking heroine.  Someone made a comment on my Facebook page about how there aren’t enough books featuring this type of heroine, and I figured I can easily make this heroine one since the plot doesn’t require her to be pretty.

Some of my plots require a beautiful heroine, such as the Book 3 (The Accidental Mail Order Bride) in this series.  Book 3 in the series will feature an unattractive hero, so it’ll be a “Beauty and the Beast” type of story.  I haven’t started writing Book 3 yet, but I do have a pre-order page up if you want to check it out.

The Mistaken Mail Order Bride is set for a June 5 release date.  The Accidental Mail Order Bride is set for a September 4 release date.

The Marriage Agreement is slowly coming along

I’m at the end of chapter 2 in this one.  I don’t know if this is one of those series that is hard to write, but the beginning of this book was a huge struggle.  I had to figure out a way to get the hero (Jesse Palmer) and heroine (Laura Rufus) to agree to a marriage of convenience.  I brainstormed and wrote out an original beginning I end up tossing.  Then it was back the drawing board.

Because of the difficulty I’m having with this series, I have pushed the expected release date of Book 3 (Groom for Hire, which is Joe Otto’s story) to either the spring or summer of next year.

Fortunately, I have until August 7 on The Marriage Agreement, so I see no reason why it won’t go out on that day, but the chance of me getting this one out sooner is about zero.  The other books are possible for an earlier release because they are coming along nicely.

So we’ll keep the expected release date of August 7 on this one firm.

Hope everyone has a great February!
