The Cursed Earl is Now Available!

This is Book 2 in the Marriage by Necessity Series.

A Perilous Marriage new cover 4 The Cursed Earl MBN Book 2  Heiress of Misfortune MBN 3

To save on space, I’m giving the short description of this book:

Algernon Wright (friend of the hero in A Perilous Marriage) believes he’s under a family curse and that he’ll die on his 25th birthday. With the clock ticking against him, he must marry so he can have an heir before that fateful day arrives.

It’s not exactly a comedy, though it does have some cute moments. It’s a blend of sweetness and humor, and when I say sweetness, I don’t mean “no sex”. I simply mean heartfelt. If this sounds like your kind of story, here is where you can find it:

I am happy to say I finally finished this book. Last year was so slow with writing that I wasn’t sure if I was going to pull it off, but, thankfully, I did. Whew! πŸ˜€

I also got Suitable for Marriage done!

This is Book 3 in the Husbands for the Larson Sisters Series:

Once the editor is done with The Loner’s Bride, she’ll look at this one. This is set for May. I don’t foresee any problems getting it out on that month.

While I’m talking about a Larson book, I am happy to say I finally got an idea for Daisy’s book!

Daisy’s book has no title yet

It also has no cover right now. But I did start it. I had to think outside the box on this one. Instead of starting her book in Nebraska, I had to start it in Lewistown, Montana. If you’ve been following all of my books, then you’re familiar with the Montana Series:

If you’ll recall, in Boaz’s Wager, Eva Connealy and Rachel Larson were heading to different places in Montana when crooks overtook their stagecoach and auctioned them off in Lewistown. Eva and Daisy were good friends because their mothers (Jessica from A Bride for Tom and Margaret from A Husband for Margaret) were friends. Daisy and Eva grew up together.

I thought it might be fun if Daisy went to visit Eva with Jessica, Margaret, and Mary Larson. (Mary is Rachel’s mother, so I couldn’t leave her out.) This is where Daisy will finally meet her prince charming. Except, she won’t think he’s a prince. She’ll think he’s a frog. This is for humor’s sake. Anyway, the hero I picked is Otis Mills. Who is Otis Mills? He was the man who lost the race to Boaz when he and Boaz were both trying to win Eva. I thought the least I could do was give this poor guy a wife since he wanted one so much in the other book. All I know right now is that Daisy won’t be interested in him, but he’ll follow her to Nebraska. So some of the book will be in Montana, and the other half will be in Nebraska. I want to show the other Larson sisters with their husbands and children since this is the last book in the series.

I’m in Chapter 3 of Heiress of Misfortune

Heiress of Misfortune MBN 3

This is the last book in the Marriage by Necessity Series.

I introduced Mr. Byron Tumilson (the Runner) in A Perilous Marriage and had him make a key appearance in The Cursed Earl. I thought he’d make a good hero in a romance, so here he is. πŸ˜€ At the moment, he’s at a ball where he’s keeping an eye on the daughter of a wealthy duke who is certain that someone is trying to kill her. Byron works from paycheck to paycheck, so he’s not comfortable. It’s fun comparing social classes this way. Somehow, Byron and the duke’s daughter will end up together. Considering how much her father wants her to marry a wealthy gentleman, this will be interesting.

I’m in Chapter 2 of Secret Admirer

Secret Admirer ebook cover

This is the beginning of a new series:

I am currently having the heroine and her friends talking about how she’s having trouble finding a suitor and how she doesn’t feel like she can attract anyone. The butler (who is the hero of this book) happens to be in the room pouring their tea for them, but they’re pretty much oblivious to him. Anyway, our hero will get the idea of sending her missives under anonymity to let her know she is appealing. He’s secretly attracted to her but won’t come out and say anything directly due to the fact that he’s a butler. It’ll be fun to see how this evolves.

I put Midnight Wedding on hold

Mainly, I did this because I need more time in Secret Admirer to get to know the heroine in Midnight Wedding. I want to right by this one.

I hope everyone has a great January!
