Here are the books in the Marriage By Bargain Series:

  • The Viscount’s Runaway Bride (Book 1)
  • The Rake’s Vow (Book 2)
  • Taming The Viscountess (Book 3)
  • If It Takes A Scandal (which will be out in September) (Book 4)

Here’s the description:

Sebastian Egan, Viscount Erandon, needs a significant amount of money in order to pay off his brother’s debts.  The sooner he gets it, the better.  But he’s not exactly what ladies are looking for.  Having lost half of his right leg while at sea, most ladies consider him to be a useless cripple, and in London where things are all about appearances, they don’t want to be seen with him.  Traditional means of finding a wife are not open to him.  He will need to find a creative way of marrying a lady who comes from a wealthy family.

As it just so happens, such a way opens up to him.  Miss Celia Barlow, nicknamed Miss “Shrew” Barlow, has upset her brother for the last time.  Her brother has had enough of her manipulative ways, and he’s offering a large dowry to the first gentleman who is willing to take her.  Sebastian, seeing his chance, takes the bait, and the wedding is set.

At once, Sebastian is drawn to Celia’s fiery spirit.  Yes, the others in London consider her to be a shrew, but that’s because they’re afraid of a lady who knows what she wants and goes for it.  His new wife is no timid wallflower.  She is full of passion, and, to his pleasure, that passion extends to the bed.

But soon, just having her body isn’t enough.  He wants to claim something much more precious.  He wants her heart.  But will he get it?

He used to think that being the captain of a ship was the most challenging thing he could do.  Now, he’s about to discover that being the husband of a lady with a fiery, independent spirit is far more challenging…and far more rewarding.

This is the last book in the Pioneer Series.  (Book 1: Wagon Trail Bride; Book 2: The Marriage Agreement; Book 3: Groom For Hire)

I’m hoping to get this out by the end of next month.  *fingers crossed*  I’m glad I wrote this one.  It was originally based on a dream I had one night.  The only other book that was based on a dream I had was Bride of Second Chances.  I don’t often dream my novels.

I’m 12,000 words into The Bride Price

I want to have this one out in October if possible, but it’s latest release date will be in November.

This is the first book in the Misled Mail Order Brides Series, and it is my first attempt at plotting a book.

So far, I haven’t lost interest in the story, which was one of my worries since I hear a lot of pansters say they lose enthusiasm for the book once they know what happens in it.  Maybe it’s because I’m used to pushing through books even when it feels like I’m pulling teeth.  I’d like to say every writing session is like Christmas day, but the truth is, a lot of it boils down to B-I-C (butt in chair).  Sometimes you just have to press through days when you don’t feel inspired to write.

This is book 2 in the Marriage by Fate Series.  (Book 1 is The Reclusive Earl)

We’ll finally get to Brad’s romance.  I’m excited about it because the poor guy has been wanting to get married in the worst way but hasn’t been able to find the right lady.  He won’t necessarily think she’s the right one, but trust me, she will be.  I know how to pair up couples who are perfect for each other (even if they themselves aren’t perfect.) 😉

I’m 12,000 words into The Outlaw’s Bride

The Outlaw's Bride ebook cover

It’s slowly coming along, but I can’t manage more than 250 – 500 words at any one time in this one because of the other three projects.  Turns out three books at a time might be the most I can handle in serious word count on any given day.  (For me that is about 2,000 to 3,000 words.  I’m not the kind of author who can do 5,000 or more.  That would wear me out.   My method is slow and steady.) 🙂

I hope everyone has a great July!
