Around the middle of this month, I’ll get back to writing, but in the meantime, I’m happy to say that I have books lined up and ready to go for the rest of the year.
Fairest of Them All is due out August 31!
Here are the books in the Marriage by Fairytale Series:
I’ll start writing The Duke’s Secluded Bride later this month. I don’t know if there will be more after this or not. It depends on how this book goes.
But on to Fairest of Them All.
This one is very loosely based off of Snow White. I took a lot of liberties with this one. We do have a step-mother/step-daughter dynamic, but that dynamic didn’t play out as I had expected when starting this book. There is a mirror and an apple that plays a role toward the end of the book. There’s also the focus on beauty, which is central to the Snow White story. But other than that, there’s not much resemblance between the story we’re all familiar with and Fairest of Them All. I don’t know if you guys will consider that a good thing or not.
In the end, I had to go where the characters and storyline were taking me. If you like a gothic feel to a story with a strong romance, a reclusive hero who’s spent years hiding away from the world and won’t let anyone but the step-daughter see his face, and a spinster heroine with a good head on her shoulders, then this is a good fit for you. And, as always, there are sexual situations within marriage in this book.
I have them on pre-order at these retailers.
Please Note: I will be offering 50% off at Payhip for a limited time when I publish this book, so if you want the special sale, don’t pre-order. I can’t offer pre-orders on Payhip.
Nelly’s Mail Order Husband is due out September 28!
I’m still in the editing phase for this one.
Forever Yours is due out November 2!
I still don’t have a cover yet, but I hope to have one soon. This is also in edits.
****
After taking a vacation for the past couple of months to spend time with my kids during the summer, I’ll be returning to writing in 2-3 weeks. And I’m really excited about them!
The Duke’s Secluded Bride (Marriage by Fairytale Series: Book 5)
This is going to be loosely based off of Rapunzel. The heroine is going to be stuck along in the wing of the manor for most of her life in the country estate. The hero will agree to marry her before he meets her because he knows her brother. It isn’t until he marries her that he begins to wonder which of the two are crazy: her or her brother. There will be high gothic elements in this one similar to the other books in this series.
Remember Marcy’s cousin from One Enchanted Evening? He’s the hero in this book. You’ll get to see him in Fairest of Them All, too.
Breaking the Rules
I don’t know if this is going to be a standalone or if it’ll be part of a series. Remember Lilly and Mr. Morris from The Earl’s Inconvenient Wife?
Lilly was Claire’s sister who didn’t want to marry Mr. Morris because he didn’t have a title? She was pretty shallow. Well, in this book, she comes to realize that she made a tragic mistake in overlooking Mr. Morris.
Now she’s going to make up for that by making sure he marries her. Only, she’s going to find he’s no longer smitten by her like he once was, and it’s going to be difficult to convince him that he should give her another chance. She’s going to have to resort to breaking some rules to get her happy ending. I expect this to be a delightful romantic comedy.
The Outlaw’s Bride (Wyoming Series: Book 1)
This is a rewrite of The Stagecoach Bride, a book I did with Stephannie Beman. She’s given me permission to take that book (and the characters that came from it) so that I could write The Outlaw’s Bride.
Mic and his family still abduct Lillian from a stagecoach before she can marry Charles, but in this version, Mic explains the situation to her right away and proposes that she marries him instead. Going with her gut feeling, she agrees to marry him, and she joins him out on his remote homestead in the mountains to start a life as his wife.
But it’s not long before it’s time for Mic and his family to rescue Mic’s two-year-old nephew, and this is going to unwittingly put her in harm’s way.
The Rancher’s Bride (Wyoming Series: Book 2)
This one picks up where The Outlaw’s Bride takes off. Abby (Mic’s younger sister) managed to escape a shoot-out with the nephew, but she’s been seriously injured during the fight. She tries to find someone she knows and trusts, but she lost her bearings during the escape, and she ends up collapsing on a stranger’s ranch. She doesn’t dare tell the man and his niece why she was really shot or who she’s running from since Charles is a dangerous man.
So she makes up some flimsy story and decides to bide her time at the ranch until she’s well enough to leave. She’ll fall in love with the rancher, of course, and this is going to complicate things…but in a good way.

That’s all I got for now. Hope everyone has a great August!
