A Perilous Marriage is due out May 27!
This is Chales Duff’s book. I originally introduced Charles in Kidnapping the Viscount (Marriage by Fate Series: Book 5).
He was Heather’s brother, and he was the one who kept interrupting the plans Gill (the hero) carefully laid out in order to convince Heather to “trap” him into marriage. To be fair to Charles, Charles did really think Gill didn’t want to be with her. It’s not like Charles was all bad. 😀
But Charles does jump to conclusions a lot, and it’s no different in A Perilous Marriage. When his best friend dies on his wedding night, Charles doesn’t believe his friend died of “heart problems” like the doctor and constable have said. He suspects murder. And he’s sure that his best friend’s widow is the culprit. So he goes about pretending to be in love with her in order to get close enough to find the evidence he needs to convict her of the crime and to bring justice for his friend.
Of course, he’s wrong (like he was in Kidnapping the Viscount). Eris is our heroine, so she is innocent. I write romances (not thriller or horror novels). The fun is seeing how Eris (who has no idea he suspects her of murder) is able to get him to fall in love with her despite his determination to keep her at a distance.
I have this up on pre-order if you’re interested on these retailers:
I finished An Earl In Time!
I didn’t expect to finish it last month, but after speaking to a good author friend about it when I hit a “wall”, everything fell into place, and the book pretty much wrote itself. I don’t have an official release date on this yet, but I’m planning for a summer release.
I’m almost done with Interview for a Wife
This is Book 3 in the Nebraska Prairie Series.
This book will finally wrap up this series. I was itching to officially finish it, and I’m happy I can get around to it.
I’m hoping to finish this book this month. I’m getting close to the end. There’s only a little more to go. I’ve been wondering this entire time how I’ll be wrapping this one up, and I think I have the last piece of the puzzle falling into place.
At the moment, this is planned for a July release. I plan to put An Earl In Time out before this book, so I might bump this one to August. I’d like to get Interview for a Wife out in July, but we’ll see how things play out. It depends on how much longer it’ll be to finish this book.
I’m in Chapter 3 of The Cursed Earl
This is Book 2 in the Marriage by Necessity Series.
This might include Book 4
This is going to be a fun comedy. The hero truly believes he is cursed to die on his 25th birthday, and he’s desperate to get an heir within the year. The heroine is in love with the hero and is more than willing to help him with his goal. I only just started laying the ground work on this one. It’ll be fun to see where it goes. I expect a lot of laughter.
I Can Finally Pick Up on Suitable for Marriage This Month
This is Book 3 in the Husbands for the Larson Sisters Series.
1 more to come
I actually got to 11,000 words in this one last week but then got sidetracked with other things, such as wrapping up the second draft of An Earl In Time and working on book descriptions for the stuff I’m working on.
Erin Larson is eager to get rid of Alex who has been after her to marry him ever since they were kids. So she comes up with a goal to match him up with someone else. Alex is aware of her plan, and he’s hoping he can use the time she needs to take in her matchmaking to convince her that he’s perfect for her. She has no idea he knows this. What I haven’t decided yet is how he’ll go about turning things around in order to get her to admit she wants to be with him.
That’s about it for now. I hope everyone has a great May!
Good luck with the new book!
Thank you!
You’re welcome.
