Well, I thought I posted the October Newsletter (albeit late) on this blog, but as it turns out, I made it one of the pages on this blog instead of a post. I don’t know if anyone saw it. I’m going to delete the page because it does nothing to add to the sight. I’m sorry for the mess up. (Long story short, it’s been a long month, and sadly, this wasn’t the only mishap I had along the way.)
Alright, so now I’m going to get on with this post, which I have double checked to make sure is a post instead of a page. 🙂
The Viscount’s Runaway Bride is Now Available!
This is Book 1 in the Marriage by Bargain Series
Here’s a description of the book:
What Lord Worsley really wants is a wife who can excite him, but what he ended up with was an engagement borne of necessity to his sister’s friend. So when Miss Damara Onslow intercepts his carriage on his way to his country estate, he’s immediately drawn to both her bold spirit and her beauty. Even more exciting is the offer she makes: money in exchange for marriage.
More than happy to get out of the marriage he was dreading, he agrees, and soon they are husband and wife. From the moment they exchange vows, it appears as if he’s found the perfect lady, and his marriage is the love match he’s always wanted. But not everyone is happy about it. To make matters worse, he never thought to ask Damara why she was so eager to get married, and the truth might be the undoing of them both.

The Bargain Mail Order Bride is Still Set for January 7
This is Book 4 in the Chance At Love Series
(Book 1: The Convenient Mail Order Bride; Book 2: The Mistaken Mail Order Bride; Book 3: The Accidental Mail Order Bride)
I can’t believe it, but this is the end of the series. I am coming close to the end of the story. I should be done in two weeks, and I’m going to miss these characters. One reason I enjoy the Regencies so much is that they all take place in the same world, so it’s easy to bring in old characters. I never have to say “good-bye”. With this series, I will have to say good-bye when this story comes to a close.
For this reason, I’m going to add a bonus ending that I typically don’t in my other books. I am going to give a glimpse into everyone’s lives about a few years out from the official ending so you can see how all the characters are doing in their happy endings. I’m not the kind of author who does “happy for now” endings. When my books end, it is always a “happily ever after” view of things. I don’t know if I’ll ever come back to this series and do the children’s stories. I have so many other projects that it almost seems like that would be done in a second lifetime. There’s simply not enough time to write down all of the ideas I have, and this makes choosing which books to write very difficult.
But, I am extremely happy with this series. It’s one of my favorites.
For those who might be wondering, I am going to finally bridge the gap between Carl and Abe. They will be friends by the end of this book. It’s especially fun to see how their relationship has progressed from book 1 to book 4.
Groom For Hire Has Been Pushed Back to February
This is Book 3 in the Pioneer Series.
I hated to do this, but if I didn’t, I was going to end up cutting this story short. I don’t want to rush the ending just to get it out in December. I might be able to get it out in the end of January, but we’ll see. I’m over halfway into this, but it’s still too early to tell.
Since this wasn’t on pre-order yet, that’s why I chose to move this one back instead of the other books that do have a pre-order already set up. Plus, doing this frees me up to focus on The Bargain Mail Order Bride, which has been on pre-order for several months.
But this book will finish up the Pioneer Series. Book 1 is Wagon Trail Bride, and Book 2 is The Marriage Agreement. I do bring in the Amanda, Richard, Jesse, and Laura at the beginning of this book, and I will bring them back in at the end. They don’t play major roles, but they will in the story. Most of the story takes place on the wagon trail.
The Rake’s Vow Has Been Started
This is Book 2 in the Marriage by Bargain Series.
If you read The Viscount’s Runaway Bride, you’ll get a better look at Miss Loretta Bachman. I introduced her in The Earl’s Wallflower Bride, and suffice it to say she wasn’t the most likable character. But this is the book where she’ll become a heroine worthy of one of my heroes. 🙂
The basic set up is that Loretta (after being jilted by Anthony in The Viscount’s Ruanway Bride) is going to be so desperate to save her reputation that she tracks down a reformed rake in hopes of marrying him. Since he needs to save his estate and she comes with a significant dowry, he agrees. Only there’s a hitch. He made a vow of celibacy when he stopped being a rake, and that’s going to cause a lot of problems when she starts to fall in love with him.
A Look Ahead…
I’ll be starting 2 new series once I finish with The Bargain Mail Order Bride and Groom For Hire.
The Misled Mail Order Bride Series
This series will be a historical western romance series. It will feature Sep (Joel’s brother-in-law in Shotgun Groom) and Richard and Amanda’s twin sons, Mark and Anthony. (I plan to do a fourth book, too, but I haven’t figured out the fourth hero yet.) The basic set up is that a no-good, greedy lowlife man sent for four mail-order brides. He had no intention of marrying any of them. What he wants to do is sell them off for a profit.
Marriage by Fate Series
This series will be a Regency series. It starts off with Miss Opal Beaufort, the younger sister of Warren (Lord Steinbeck) who was the hero in The Earl’s Wallflower Bride. I really liked her, and I wanted to do her story before I forgot the details about her story. She has layers in her backstory that I’m afraid I won’t adequately put into her story if I don’t get to it while The Earl’s Wallflower Bride is still fresh in my mind. I plan to add 2-3 more books to this series, but it’s hard to tell who will fit in with it until I start the first book.

We’ll go more into the future series as I work on them. For now, I just wanted to give you a glimpse of where things are going.

I posted this last month, but because I messed on and made that a “page” instead of a “post”, I don’t know how many people saw it. So I’m going to bring up Wattpad again.
I don’t know how many of you are aware of Wattpad, but I have a couple of books already over there and I’m adding more. If you happen to stop by, I hope you say hi!
