This is Book 3 in the Nebraska Prairie Series.
(The Purchased Bride is Book 1, and The Bride’s Choice is Book 2.) I tried to put in the covers so they were neatly side by side, but WordPress’ classic editor is acting wonky today.
I just uploaded this to the retailers, so you can pre-order it. I’ll put in the links below if you prefer to do that instead of waiting until the book is out to get it.

This is Book 2 in the Marriage by Necessity Series.

Well, despite my best efforts, I was not able to write enough in July to bump this book up to a release date in October. It will remain November 7. I’m hoping to finish up the first draft this month. Then September will be edits. In October, I should be able to put it on pre-order so that I have time to get things in place for the release date.
On a positive note, I was working on a subplot that had to do with Lord Edon and Mr. Christopher Robinson that turned out much better than I originally expected. One of my readers suggested the idea, and I liked it so I figured I’d slip it in. Basically, the idea is what would happen if everyone found out Lord Edon was never a rake. I hadn’t considered that possibility, but it’s been a lot of fun to work with. I love Lord Edon. He’ll pull it off. The fun part is figuring out “how”. This is the kind of thing that keeps me on my toes. So many thanks to that reader in case she happens to be reading this post.
As for the book in general, I am getting close to the 50,000-word mark. This is usually where I start looking at how things are going to be resolved. I’m not sure how much more I have to go. My average word count is 60,000. But I think this book is going to be a bit longer than that. An idea for a twist in the plot came to mind, and I’m not ready to use it yet. My guess is that this book will be over 70,000 words by the time I finish the first draft. Hopefully in the next newsletter, I can say I’m done. That will put me on course for getting this out in November without rushing anything.

This is Book 4 in the Wyoming Series.
(The Outlaw’s Bride is Book 1. The Rancher’s Bride is Book 2. The Fugitive’s Bride is Book 3.)
Jeremiah is still fighting his feelings for Katie, but she has no intention of fighting her feelings from him, though she’s not going to throw herself at him. She’s going to let him take the lead. It’ll be interesting to see how she finally gets him to earnestly pursue her.
Suitable for Marriage is at the halfway point.
This is Book 3 in the Husbands for the Larson Sisters Series.
(Nelly’s Mail Order Husband is Book 1. Perfectly Matched is Book 2.)
Erin is close to admitting she wants to be with Alex, but she’s not quite there yet. I’m wondering what event will put her over the edge. Alex is such a sweet guy. You can’t help but root for him. Even Erin’s sister, Daisy, came out and admitted Alex is much better than she originally thought. I thought Daisy might work with Alex to convince Erin she wants to be with him, but as it turns out, it won’t be necessary. Erin’s coming to this conclusion on her own, albeit slowly.
A look ahead on what I plan to write:
This will be Book 3 in the Marriage by Necessity Series. It will wrap up the series, too. I was originally going to make a Book 4, but it turns out one of the characters in this series will be better off in a book that will be in my next Regency series.
This is going to be Byron’s romance. Byron is Eris’ brother who is the Runner. He’s going to be hired to figure out why a certain heiress seems to have a constant stream of bad luck following her. I don’t know if this will be a comedy or not.
This will be Book 1 in the Marriage by Obligation Series, which is the next Regency series I’m working on. I came up with the name for the series because of where I plan to go with Book 3. Before I can write Book 3, I need to build up to it through Books 1 and 2. I have characters I need to introduce in Book 1 as secondary characters. I plan to pretty much make them both miserable by the end of Book 1, do something “over time” in Book 2, and then reconcile things in Book 3 where they will finally be the main characters. Yeah, I know it’s mean for an author to make the characters miserable, but there will be a happy ending by the time the series ends. So…I’m not 100% evil. 😉
Secret Admirer is about a romance where the daughter of a Duke is going to fall in love with a servant. I’m looking forward to going with something I haven’t tackled directly before. I went around this in Fairest of Them All when the hero’s daughter ended up with the butler, but I never had it as the main focus of a plot. I expect this to be fun.
Next Book
I would like to put in a historical western here, but right now, I have no plot ideas that intrigue me enough to write. I know the logical choice is Daisy’s romance since that will be Book 4 in the Husbands for the Larson Sisters Series, but I have no idea what to do with her. So I’ll just brainstorm until something comes to mind.
