I Have a Short Story in a Free Anthology on Smashwords

From time to time, I like to experiment with a genre outside of romance, and since my very sweet author friend, Joleene Naylor, was putting together an anthology that only required a short story, I figured I’d submit something.

old-man-wickleberry-ebook-cover-small

My story is a young adult thriller called “Body Swap” where a teenage boy makes a trade with a man who was thought to be dead.  If you enjoy shows like The Twilight Zone, I think you’ll like this.

I haven’t read the other stories in the anthology yet, so I can’t tell you about those.  But the description to each story is given in the book description, which I’ll post below.

The book is only on Amazon and Smashwords

Amazon* ($0.99)

Smashwords (FREE)

*We are trying to get it free on Amazon by reporting a lower price elsewhere on the book.  Sometimes Amazon will adjust the price and sometimes it won’t.  So my recommendation is to get it from Smashwords.

Now for the description to all of the stories:

Ol’ Man Wickleberry is a man of legend – or is he a legend of a man? With a scruffy beard and a dislike for humanity, how long has it been since he met his demise, and what is he doing in his ghostly afterlife? The stories may differ, but all of them are true. We swear. So if you’re ever wandering alone in the woods at night, and find you’re not really alone, it just might be Ol’ Man Wickleberry.

Enjoy eight tales by seven talented authors including:

Vendetta by Chris Harris: Mr. Baker is on his way to steal a deal when he’s snowed in. Stuck waiting at a rustic tavern, he’s ambushed by an old man with a strange story – a story that’s beyond belief. Or is it?

Evil Animals and Automobiles by Mark R Hunter : Ol’ Man Wickleberry hates so much he sometimes prompts them to an untimely end, with the help of those newfangled automobiles. But the next victim might be Ol’ Man Wickleberry, himself.

The True Story of Ol’ Man Wickleberry by Jonathan Harvey: Jonathan Harvey puts the Terrible Turtle spin on the Wickleberry legend. He names himself Papa Harvey and weaves a tale that is strange and bizarre, but still interesting. If only he wasn’t constantly being interrupted.

Out Walking by Joleene Naylor: The mysterious carnivorous white rabbits sound too strange to be true, but Ol’ Man Wickleberry can’t stand the thought of missing some rare game. It seems a walk is in order…

Body Swap by Ruth Nordin: A teenage boy makes a trade with a man who was thought to be dead.

Weirdly Normal – The Hike by Simon Goodson: Vincent hates hiking. But more than anything else, he hates their guide’s endless wittering about the horribly scary myth of Ol’ Man Wickleberry. Just when Vincent is certain the night can’t get any worse… Ol’ Man Wickleberry himself makes an appearance!

Wickleberry Elixir by Terry Compton: Rick and his two fellow college students just wanted a few extra college credits and the money from the work study. Then the professor demanded more details. But details sometimes lead to answers no one really wants or believes.

Ol’ Man Wickleberry (The Other True Story) by Jonathan Harvey: Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O, and next to this farm lived Ol’ Man Wickleberry, E-I-E-I – Oh. It seems Ol’ Man Wickleberry doesn’t like these kind of goings ons. A short story that’s rhyming good fun.

The Rake’s Vow (Marriage by Bargain Series: Book 2) is Almost Finished

  • The Rake’s Vow (Book 2)
  • Taming The Viscountess (Book 3)
  • If It Takes a Scandal (Book 4)

I’m hoping to have this out by the end of March.  *fingers crossed*

This is Loretta’s story, and I’m currently in the last two chapters of the book.  I see no reason why it shouldn’t be out by the end of March, but I’m still keeping May 6 until I upload the book to all the retailers.

I will give a warning, and I really hope it doesn’t stop people from reading Celia’s story, but Celia is going to seem especially awful in this story.  She has to in order for things to fall into place for her book, and for all the gentlemen to want to stay clear of her.  Her book is Taming The Viscountess, and I’ll discuss more of it below.

Taming The Viscountess is about 1/4 of the way completed

Only one gentleman in all of London will be brave enough to take on the task of marrying Celia, and that is going to be Captain Egan (whom I introduced in The Viscount’s Runaway Bride).  Trust me Captain Egan is not one who will let her get by with being a spoiled brat. He will turn her into a sweet and lovable lady.  Part of this is encouraged by the bet the gentlemen at White’s are making in the book.  They are all going to bet he can’t make her a sweet and lovable person.   He is more than willing to prove them wrong and take their money in the process.

Already, there are some humorous moments that have me chuckling as I’m writing it.  So think more of comedy and light with this book.  And I promise, she will be likable by the end of the story.

I currently have this set for an August release, but I’m going to have it out at the beginning of June to mid-July.

I do have other books I’m working on, but this post has gotten long enough so  I’m going to end the post here.

Hope everyone has a great February!

I wanted to wait until The Bargain Mail Order Bride was released before making the post this month.

Now Available!

The_Bargain_Mail_Order_Bride_new version

For those of you who’ve been waiting for Carl’s story, this is it!  In it, Carl and Abe also resolve their differences, so that was a lot of fun to see the brothers finally learn to get along after their long feud.  I know some of you were hoping for that, and you’ll be happy to know it did happen. 🙂

The Bargain Mail Order Bride completes the Chance At Love Series.

Here’s a list of  all the book in the series:

  • The Convenient Mail Order Bride (Book 1)
  • The Mistaken Mail Order Bride (Book 2)
  • The Accidental Mail Order Bride (Book 3)
  • The Bargain Mail Order Bride (Book 4)

Now for the description of the book:

Carl Richie’s wife took delight in making him miserable, often reminding him she wished she’d married someone much more deserving. So when she dies, it’s no great loss. His problems, however, are far from over.

His father left him twenty acres and a stream that most likely has gold in it, but in order for him to keep the property, he must have a child. The last thing Carl wants to do is marry again, but he has no choice. So, with reluctance, he posts a mail-order bride ad.

Juliet Gilbert needs to marry someone—and fast. On a whim, she answers the first mail-order bride ad that will take her to a place where her past won’t catch up with her. From the beginning, Carl makes it clear he’s not interested in love. He only wants a child, and then he’ll give her a portion of any gold he finds on his land and leave her alone to do as she wishes.

Since love is the least of her concerns, she agrees as long as he never asks about her past. The two strike the bargain, and she comes out to marry him. What neither expects, however, is that bargains are far easier to make than they are to keep.

Groom For Hire is with my editing team!

Potential Release Month: February

(I self-publish most of my books, but this one will be with my publisher.  So the publisher ultimately decides the release date.)

Groom for Hire

Originally, this was going to be the last book in the Pioneer Series, but then I came up with another idea for a book while writing it.  So there is now going to be a book four, and that will be Forced Into Marriage.  (This is not available on pre-order yet.)

So the books in the Pioneer Series are as follows:

  • Wagon Trail Bride (Book 1)
  • The Marriage Agreement (Book 2)
  • Groom For Hire (Book 3)
  • Forced Into Marriage  (Book 4)

Speaking of Forced Into Marriage,

I have started writing it!

I should have it out sometime this year.  I don’t know when yet.

forced-into-marriage-ebook-cover7

I need to write up a description for it.  When I do, I can put it on pre-order.  I’ll be publishing this one myself.

I’m going to estimate out late this fall for a release date to give myself plenty of room because the entire Pioneer Series has been surprisingly difficult to write.  I’ve never had so many rewrites to do in one series before this one.  Ideally, it’ll be out sooner than that, though.

I’m over halfway done with The Rake’s Vow!

I’m hoping for a late March release on this one.  *fingers crossed*

This is the second book in the Marriage by Bargain Series.  I’m very happy with the progress of the book.  It tackles the difficult subject of whether someone who’s done something horrible can ever be forgiven.  At the core, though, is a romance.  I’m really enjoying the angle where the hero and heroine start off by pretending to be in love.  I always enjoy that angle in movies I watch, esp. when you know they’re going to fall in love for real.  So this is a lot of fun.

The books in the Marriage by Bargain Series are as follows:

  • The Viscount’s Runaway Bride (Book 1) – this features Damara and Anthony
  • The Rake’s Vow (Book 2) – this features Loretta and Tad (a new character)
  • Taming The Viscountess (Book 3) – this features Celia and Captain Egan
  • If It Takes A Scandal (Book 4) – this features Candace (Lady Hedwrett from Her Counterfeit Husband) and Corin

While I’m discussing the Marriage by Bargain Series…

Taming The Viscountess (Marriage by Bargain Book 3)

I hope to have this out this summer, though I have set the release date for August.

I just hit the 10,000 mark today.  I typically write books between 55,000 to 65,000 words.  I am really enjoying this book!  The chemistry between the hero and heroine is amazing.  She doesn’t want to be married to him, and though he doesn’t particularly care to get married at all, he must for the money.  She has a reputation for being a shrew, and no gentleman wants to marry her.  Since he’s willing to do it, the gentlemen make a bet on whether or not he make her change into a sweet and lovable lady.  I expect this to be fun as it plays out.

I am almost halfway done with The Reclusive Earl!

This is due out in April.

Remember Opal (Warren’s sister in The Earl’s Wallflower Bride who was acting like she was crazy)?  She’s the heroine in this book.  I originally had an idea for an extremely shy hero in a story I wrote for an anthology (A Groom’s Promise) about a groom who hid from his wife on his wedding night because he was too afraid he’d be a miserable failure in bed.  But with the way things turned out, I never got to use that idea for that story.  But…I was able to use it here.

h

I’ll leave that for now.  I have plenty more projects for the year, but I already made this long enough as it is.  I hope everyone has an awesome January!

December 2016 Newsletter

I’m sorry this is getting out late.  It’s been a hectic beginning of the month.  I have a lot coming up this upcoming year, though, so there’s a lot of good stuff coming up. 🙂

The Bargain Mail Order Bride will be out January 7!

The Bargain Mail Order Bride (Chance At Love Series: Book 4)

The_Bargain_Mail_Order_Bride_new version

For those who read The Convenient Mail Order Bride, The Mistaken Mail Order Bride, and The Accidental Mail Order Bride, we are finally going to get to Carl Richie’s story in this one!  Carl and Abe Thomas (the two half-brothers who’ve been at odds with each other during the series) do finally make amends in this story.  That was one of my goals in this book.

I don’t have this on Amazon yet for pre-order.  I expect to get it up there early next week.

This is the last book in the Chance At Love Series.   I’m going to miss this group of characters, but the series is complete and it’s time to move on.

Groom For Hire is Almost Done

Groom For Hire (Pioneer Series: Book 3)

Groom for Hire

I’m not sure how much longer I have before this is finished, but I’m nearing the end.  Joe Otto, the man who was in love with Amanda Larson in Wagon Trail Bride, finally finds his happy ending in this book!

I’m estimating this book to be out in February.  No date has been set yet.  It really depends on when the characters feel like their story is complete.

Pioneer Series Will Extend to Book 4

I thought Groom For Hire was going to be the last book in the series, but I came across a character in this particular book who has me intrigued.  So I’m going to work on his book when I finish with this one.  I have no release date estimated for it, and I’m going to take it slow for the time being.  But I already have a title, and that is Forced Into Marriage.  Will more books come after that?  I don’t know.  I’ll have to keep writing and see.

I’m in Chapter Six of The Rake’s Vow

The Rake’s Vow (Marriage by Bargain: Book 2)

20160709_The_Rakes_Vow

For those of you who read The Viscount’s Runaway Bride, this is Loretta Bachman’s book.  Loretta convinces a reformed rake who has vowed to never sleep with another lady to marry him and pretend he’s deeply in love with her in order to impress the prestigious members of the Ton.  I’m looking forward to working with this plot line.  I’ve always wanted to do a book where the couple pretends to be in love but really aren’t, so this will be fun.

I’m planning to have this out May 6 or sooner.

I’m in Chapter Five of The Reclusive Earl

The Reclusive Earl (Marriage by Fate: Book 1)

the-reclusive-earl-new-cover-9

Remember Opal from The Earl’s Wallflower Bride?  Opal was Lord Steinbeck’s sister.  She was the one who pretended to be insane in order to protect herself.  So this is her story.  I’m pairing her up with a gentleman who is a recluse because he is the laughingstock of London.  I look forward to seeing how things develop as the story progresses.

This is estimated to come out in April.

I hope everyone is having a great December!

November 2016 Newsletter

Well, I thought I posted the October Newsletter (albeit late) on this blog, but as it turns out, I made it one of the pages on this blog instead of a post.  I don’t know if anyone saw it.  I’m going to delete the page because it does nothing to add to the sight.  I’m sorry for the mess up.  (Long story short, it’s been a long month, and sadly, this wasn’t the only mishap I had along the way.)

Alright, so now I’m going to get on with this post, which I have double checked to make sure is a post instead of a page. 🙂

The Viscount’s Runaway Bride is Now Available!

20160607_The_Viscounts_Runaway_Bride

This is Book 1 in the Marriage by Bargain Series

Here’s a description of the book:

What Lord Worsley really wants is a wife who can excite him, but what he ended up with was an engagement borne of necessity to his sister’s friend. So when Miss Damara Onslow intercepts his carriage on his way to his country estate, he’s immediately drawn to both her bold spirit and her beauty. Even more exciting is the offer she makes: money in exchange for marriage.

More than happy to get out of the marriage he was dreading, he agrees, and soon they are husband and wife. From the moment they exchange vows, it appears as if he’s found the perfect lady, and his marriage is the love match he’s always wanted. But not everyone is happy about it. To make matters worse, he never thought to ask Damara why she was so eager to get married, and the truth might be the undoing of them both.

This is Book 4 in the Chance At Love Series

(Book 1: The Convenient Mail Order Bride; Book 2: The Mistaken Mail Order Bride; Book 3: The Accidental Mail Order Bride)

I can’t believe it, but this is the end of the series.  I am coming close to the end of the story.  I should be done in two weeks, and I’m going to miss these characters.  One reason I enjoy the Regencies so much is that they all take place in the same world, so it’s easy to bring in old characters.  I never have to say “good-bye”.  With this series, I will have to say good-bye when this story comes to a close.

For this reason, I’m going to add a bonus ending that I typically don’t in my other books.  I am going to give a glimpse into everyone’s lives about a few years out from the official ending so you can see how all the characters are doing in their happy endings.  I’m not the kind of author who does “happy for now” endings.  When my books end, it is always a “happily ever after” view of things.  I don’t know if I’ll ever come back to this series and do the children’s stories.  I have so many other projects that it almost seems like that would be done in a second lifetime.  There’s simply not enough time to write down all of the ideas I have, and this makes choosing which books to write very difficult.

But, I am extremely happy with this series.  It’s one of my favorites.

For those who might be wondering, I am going to finally bridge the gap between Carl and Abe.  They will be friends by the end of this book.  It’s especially fun to see how their relationship has progressed from book 1 to book 4.

Groom For Hire Has Been Pushed Back to February

Groom for Hire

This is Book 3 in the Pioneer Series.

I hated to do this, but if I didn’t, I was going to end up cutting this story short.  I don’t want to rush the ending just to get it out in December.  I might be able to get it out in the end of January, but we’ll see.  I’m over halfway into this, but it’s still too early to tell.

Since this wasn’t on pre-order yet, that’s why I chose to move this one back instead of the other books that do have a pre-order already set up.  Plus, doing this frees me up to focus on The Bargain Mail Order Bride, which has been on pre-order for several months.

But this book will finish up the Pioneer Series.  Book 1 is Wagon Trail Bride, and Book 2 is The Marriage Agreement.  I do bring in the Amanda, Richard, Jesse, and Laura at the beginning of this book, and I will bring them back in at the end.  They don’t play major roles, but they will in the story.  Most of the story takes place on the wagon trail.

The Rake’s Vow Has Been Started

This is Book 2 in the Marriage by Bargain Series.

If you read The Viscount’s Runaway Bride, you’ll get a better look at Miss Loretta Bachman.  I introduced her in The Earl’s Wallflower Bride, and suffice it to say she wasn’t the most likable character.  But this is the book where she’ll become a heroine worthy of one of my heroes. 🙂

The basic set up is that Loretta (after being jilted by Anthony in The Viscount’s Ruanway Bride) is going to be so desperate to save her reputation that she tracks down a reformed rake in hopes of marrying him.  Since he needs to save his estate and she comes with a significant dowry, he agrees.  Only there’s a hitch.  He made a vow of celibacy when he stopped being a rake, and that’s going to cause a lot of problems when she starts to fall in love with him.

A Look Ahead…

I’ll be starting 2 new series once I finish with The Bargain Mail Order Bride and Groom For Hire.

The Misled Mail Order Bride Series

This series will be a historical western romance series.  It will feature Sep (Joel’s brother-in-law in Shotgun Groom) and Richard and Amanda’s twin sons, Mark and Anthony.  (I plan to do a fourth book, too, but I haven’t figured out the fourth hero yet.)  The basic set up is that a no-good, greedy lowlife man sent for four mail-order brides.  He had no intention of marrying any of them.  What he wants to do is sell them off for a profit.

Marriage by Fate Series

This series will be a Regency series.  It starts off with Miss Opal Beaufort, the younger sister of Warren (Lord Steinbeck) who was the hero in The Earl’s Wallflower Bride.  I really liked her, and I wanted to do her story before I forgot the details about her story.  She has layers in her backstory that I’m afraid I won’t adequately put into her story if I don’t get to it while The Earl’s Wallflower Bride is still fresh in my mind.  I plan to add 2-3 more books to this series, but it’s hard to tell who will fit in with it until I start the first book.

***

We’ll go more into the future series as I work on them.  For now, I just wanted to give you a glimpse of where things are going.

~~~
I posted this last month, but because I messed on and made that a “page” instead of a “post”, I don’t know how many people saw it.  So I’m going to bring up Wattpad again.
I don’t know how many of you are aware of Wattpad, but I have a couple of books already over there and I’m adding more.  If you happen to stop by, I hope you say hi!  Click the link below to check out my Wattpad page!  (If you have trouble with the link below, here’s the direct url: https://www.wattpad.com/user/ruthannnordin)
Here are the books in this series:
  • Book 2: The Mistaken Mail Order Bride
  • Book 3: The Accidental Mail Order Bride
  • Book 4: The Bargain Mail Order Bride (due out by January 7!)
Here’s the description:
Eric Johnson’s real mail order bride shows up later than expected, and she quickly learns he is already married. Now Allie Jones is stuck in a small Colorado town with no way to leave. She must either marry the only suitable bachelor or risk being sold to the saloon’s owner to be one of the soiled doves. Seeing she has no real choice, she agrees to marry the bachelor.
Rumored as being a monster by the people in town, Travis Martin is content to live alone, sheltered in the wooded area of the mountainside. The last thing he expects is a preacher when there’s a knock on the door. With great hesitation, he agrees to the marriage. He can’t confine such a beautiful young lady to the saloon, but he knows the marriage won’t be a happy one for her, not when she could have had someone so much better.
So the best thing he can do is keep his distance and leave her alone. She, however, can’t help but be intrigued by her new husband. Is he the ugly beast the people in town claim, or is there something beautiful worth loving just beneath the surface?
The Viscount’s Runaway Bride
This book follows The Earl’s Wallflower Bride, so it’s a continuation of the other Regencies I’ve done up to this point.  It does, however, begin a new series.
Remember Anthony Barlow in The Earl’s Wallflower Bride?  He was one of Warren’s friends.  Well, he is the hero in this book.  I already have plans to make the two ladies who made Lady Iris miserable the heroines in the rest of the series: Miss Loretta Bachman (who will be in Book 2: The Rake’s Vow) and Miss Celia Barlow (who will be in Book 3 which I have yet to title).
I’m at Chapter Six in Groom For Hire (Pioneer Series: Book 3)
Groom for Hire
This is Joe Otto’s book.  I did bring back Jesse and Laura (from The Marriage Agreement) early on, and I gave a glimpse of Amanda and Richard Larson.  But for the most part, this story takes place on a wagon trail heading to California.
I hope to have this out in mid-to-late December.  There is no pre-order date set for this one yet.
I’m at Chapter Three in The Bargain Mail Order Bride (Chance at Love Series: Book 4)
This book will complete the Chance at Love Series.  It is Carl Richie’s story, and I hope to bring to peace the feud he has with Abe (hero in book 1 of this series).  I already know how this book will end.  The fun part, of course, is figuring how I’ll get there. 🙂
This release date is set for January 7.  With any luck, I’ll get it out sooner.  We’ll see how things work out.
This will come after The Viscount’s Runaway Bride, and it will feature Miss Loretta Bachman who will be rejected by Anthony is The Viscount’s Runaway Bride.  If Loretta Bachman sounds familiar, it’s because she was one of the ladies who annoyed Lady Iris to no end.  So she comes into this book as a selfish lady.  The goal, of course, is to make her likable by the end of the story.
After being rejected by Anthony, she seeks out a gentleman who’ll impress her social group in London, and this gentleman will be a reformed rake whose reputation makes him the greatest challenge in all of London.
His Auctioned Bride (Misled Mail Order Brides: Book 1)
Remember Sep from Shotgun Groom?  He was Joel Larson’s brother-in-law.  I’m finally doing his book!
I haven’t made up a Booklaunch page for this yet, but I do have it on pre-order at iBooks at this link.    It should be coming up on other retailers soon.  I have this marked at June 3.  If I don’t end up adding to the Pioneer Series, I should have this out before June 3.
I wrote a flash fiction story to give Laura’s mother (from The Marriage Agreement) a happy ending
Ingrid ebook cover with subtitle
During the beta reading for The Marriage Agreement, someone asked me if I could give the heroine’s mother a happy ending.  This is a very short story.  Think of it as an epilogue.  It’s only 1,200 words long.  But it does contain a couple of spoilers, so I advise you read this after you finish The Marriage Agreement.  And because it’s so short, it’s free.  🙂
I just uploaded it to Smashwords today.  It should be on Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and iBooks within a day or two.
Here’s the Smashwords link since it’s the only one I have at the moment.
The Accidental Mail Order Bride will be out August 27!
This is Book 3 in the Chance at Love Series.
Here are all the books in the Chance at Love Series: The Convenient Mail Order Bride (Book 1), The Mistaken Mail Order Bride (Book 2), The Accidental Mail Order Bride (Book 3), and The Bargain Mail Order Bride (Book 4-due out January 7)
20160607_The_Viscounts_Runaway_Bride
I made good progress on this one over the past week, and I’m happy to say I’m in chapter 10!  I was hoping to release this in October, and if things continue  as well as they have been, I’ll be able to do that!  *fingers crossed*
You can find out more about it, or pre-order it by going to its Book Launch page.
I’m at chapter 5  in Groom For Hire
As mentioned above, this is Book 3 in the Pioneer Series!
Groom for Hire
This is due out in December.  I’m hoping for December 18, but we’ll see how things end up.  Either way, it will be out in December.  This book will finish up the Pioneer Series.  I hope to have more information on pre-ordering this book in the next newsletter.  *fingers crossed*
I’m in chapter 2 of The Bargain Mail Order Bride
As stated above, this is Book 4 in the Chance at Love Series.
The_Bargain_Mail_Order_Bride_new version
Finally, Carl Richie gets his own book, and I hope to make Carl and Abe friends after their lifelong feud.  Of course, this is primarily a romance, so I won’t be focusing all my time on the half-brothers.  🙂
I already have pre-order information for this book.  You can check it and more information on this book at its Book Launch page.
I think I’ll stop there for now.  I should have more stuff to share next month.  I have plenty of things coming up, and I’m excited about them all, but I don’t want to take up too much of this post.
I hope everyone has an awesome August!
The Earl’s Wallflower Bride is Now Available!
It’s finally out!  And this book completes the entire Marriage by Arrangement Series.
The Earl’s Wallflower Bride  (Book 3)
20160322_His_Wallflower_Bride_ebook2
Helena, Melissa, and Chloe are arranging marriages, but not all will go smoothly on the way to a happily ever after…
Warren Beaufort, the Earl of Steinbeck, prides himself on having the best of the best. From his furnishings in his townhouse to his clothes, he chooses everything with the intention of impressing others. And more than that, he has amassed a fortune that is the envy of many in London. One thing he lacks, however, is an heir. In order to get the heir, he’ll need a wife.
Lady Iris, the Duke of Hartwell’s daughter, has money, but she lacks both grace and looks. One thing she does have, however, is the good sense to know a gentleman like Warren is all wrong for her, which is why she’s horrified to learn she’s been matched with him for marriage. But the Duchess of Ashbourne and her friends assure her that she and Warren have so much in common they are an ideal match.
Having no way out of the marriage her father has arranged for her, she has no choice but to marry Warren. While she might have to give him the heir, she will never, under any circumstance, give him something far more precious…her heart.
Her Devilish Marquess (Book 2)
In this book, I go more into Mr. Malcolm Jasper’s friendship with Lord Steinbeck and show a more “irritating” side to Steinbeck.  I say “irritating” because Steinbeck doesn’t officially become a hero until The Earl’s Wallflower Bride.
The Viscount’s Runaway Bride will start a brand new Regency Series
20160607_The_Viscounts_Runaway_Bride
In The Earl’s Wallflower Bride, I introduce Anthony Barlow, Viscount Worsley, who is Warren (Lord Steinbeck)’s friend.  The Viscount’s Runaway Bride is Anthony’s book.
I’m already into Chapter 3 in this one.  So far, I only know what the next book in this series will be, and that will be The Rake’s Vow.  I will post more about this in future posts.
I have listed this for a release date of April 23, 2017, but I fully expect to have it out this October or November.
Groom for Hire is expected out in December!
Groom for Hire
I have notified my publisher that this can be out sooner than spring of next year.  At the moment, there is no pre-order info on this, but this book will complete the Pioneer Series.  I listed the books in this series under The Marriage Agreement, which is above. 🙂
A quick look ahead:
I don’t want to bog down this post, so I’ll do a quick glimpse of what you can expect early next year:
  1. The Bargain Mail Order Bride (Book 4 in the Chance at Love Series) will be out in January
  2. The Rake’s Vow (Book 2 in Marriage by Bargain Series) will be out around February to March
  3. The Reclusive Earl (Book 1 in Marriage by Fate Series) will be out around February to March
  4. Shane’s Deal (Book 4 in the Montana Collection) should be out around March or April)
  5. After Shane’s Deal, I should finally get around to writing Sep’s book.  (Sep is April’s brother in Shotgun Groom which featured Joel Larson in the Nebraska Series).  From there I will work on the books for Amanda and Richard’s twin sons (Mark and Anthony)
Hope everyone has a great July!
When she realizes his ruse, will she expose his misdeeds…or find herself drawn into the hoax?
  • Book 5: The Other Man’s Mail Order Bride (due out early next year)
  • Maybe more to come in the series (we’ll see)
Here’s the description:
Eric Johnson has been writing to his mail-order bride for months, and at long last, the day she’s due to arrive has come. Only, the young lady who comes off the stagecoach isn’t at all what he expected. She’s homely in appearance, and she has an orphan child with her.
However, he is a man of his word, so he’s going to marry her. He had enjoyed their correspondence over the past year, after all, and really, initial impressions aren’t everything. But when the preacher pronounces them husband and wife, he finds out she’s the wrong lady.
Caroline Benton’s just as shocked as he is, not realizing she’d gotten off at the wrong town and followed the wrong man home. Why, oh why, didn’t she think to ask him his name? Now she and the orphan child she brought with her are stuck in a strange town with a man who’d been waiting for someone else.
She can’t imagine he’s at all happy to be paired up with her for the rest of his life. Not only is she rather unattractive, but she doesn’t know the first thing about housekeeping. Just what is she supposed to do to convince him it’s not the end of the world that he married the wrong mail-order bride?
